Get Your Pet Spayed (or Neutered) on Spay Day 2011

The Sacramento Area Animal Coalition has organized Spay Day 2011, which offers discounted spay and neutering services for cats and dogs.
For only $15 for cats and $20 for dogs, the package includes surgery, vaccination, microchip identification with registration and flea prevention.
The surgeries are tentatively scheduled for Sunday, Mar. 6. They will take place at participating veterinary clinics in Sacramento and Yolo Counties so you can find a vet near you!

Appointments are required, so go online to www.sacanimal.org and fill out the application. Local libraries offer internet access to those without internet or computers.

To qualify, applicants must have an annual household income of $35,000 or less. Proof of income will be required. Receive instructions on what type of proof is needed when completing the online application. Cash payment is needed at the time of appointment. There is a limit of two pets per household, cats and dogs only. The program is no longer accepting applications for small dogs (25 lbs. or less) as the slots have been filled, but visit here for more options for small dogs.

Help your pet, help the animal population and keep your pet healthy with Spay Day 2011.
