A new venue to catch live music in Sacramento is opening Feb. 5. Ace of Spades will feature Bay Area rapper Andre Nickatina its inaugural night, and is opening where Empire Event Center once was. Other notable names in the lineup are Rob Zombie (Feb. 10), Papa Roach (Feb. 25-26), The Ready Set (Mar. 26), Dance Gavin Dance (Apr. 8) and Of Mice and Men (Apr. 15). Most shows appear to be open to all ages.

It looks as though museums, resorts, expos and venues have finally woken up from post-New Years celebrating. Whatever your budget, whatever your interests, there are lots of things to do and see this week. It's the beginning of another chilly week. So get out and about, keep warm and cheer up, buttercup!
